About SEEADO
A disconnection exists between human development and food security needs, and the aspirations of environmental protection agencies. The actions of those who define the terms of the humanitarian system compromises the sustainability of that system. Currently, the global drive to archive human development jeopardises the sustainability of the environment harbouring these development initiatives. Humanitarian policies and approaches in Africa and Cameroon in particular take little account of the relationships of the affected populations with local environment. Local agencies in Cameroon, including local government, civil society, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have not sufficiently address this disconnection. Creating and sustaining the link between human development, food production and others, with environmental protection is the reason why Sustainable Environment, Ecotourism, and Agricultural Development Organization (SEEADO) was created. SEEADO is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organisation that works to promote a sustainable environment and agriculture, and mainstream ecotourism into conservation for the benefit of people and biodiversity. SEEADO was established on July 1st, 2017 and registered on February 08, 2018 (registration No: 14/E.29/1111/VOL.8/ALPAS).

Our Objectives
The objectives of SEEADO include:
- To promote a sound and sustainable environment through education and awareness raising, capacity building and the use of innovative environmental management techniques.
- To introduce and promote sustainable environment-friendly agricultural practices in local communities in Cameroon.
- To promote sustainable ecotourism by mainstreaming biodiversity conservation into tourism for the benefit of the local and international communities.
- To undertake advocacy, research and studies to improve knowledge and techniques for increased environmental conservation and management, sustainable agriculture, and ecotourism services.
- To carry out outreach programs and activities in order to promote sustainable livelihood in local communities in Cameroon
SEEADO’s Values
- Environment and Sustainability: SEEADO strives to bridge the gap between human development and environmental protection. We embrace ambitious environmental goals while taking into account real-world dynamics.
- Equity: SEEADO views equity at all levels, including equity between humans and the environment. The environment provides services to humankind including ecotourism services and in return, man should protect the environment.
